Would it be possible to see the winning photographs please. I went to the exhibition at 2pm,as advertised, only to be told it didn’t open until 7pm. Sadly couldn’t go back in the evening.

  2. Ken Stratford says:

    Hi Jackie,
Sorry that I missed you on the day. We did actually have the exhibition rolling then, but we had a problem with one of the Mac computers doing the image projection. I sorted this out shortly though. We were open from about 12.30, with half the exhibition and a bit after two with the whole lot and were signing people in. I’m not sure how or who told you it wasn’t open, because we had people signing in from before 2pm.
The six pieces will be going up on the website shortly. As also will be another 15 galleries of photos from contributors. To be frank the response was so good that it has been a bit overwhelming (2,500) images in total. I’ve just got back from a bit of holiday, so will be getting more stuff up on kirkstall.orfg shortly. Will also be doing 16 pages in the next Kirkstall Matters and we will be producing a photiobook that will be permanently lodged with the abbey House Museum and the Leeds History Archive.
    regards,
    Ken

Thank you Ken. Gosh you are busy. I was obviously given poor info. at the venue. I’m very much enjoying seeing the photos online . It is a great idea and will be of interest for many years to come . regards Jackie

  5. Matthew Guy says:

I have more photos to post Jackie (thanks to Ken for uploading them for me) so hopefully at the weekend we will have even more to peruse.
